At this time of year where we celebrate friends, family and community, the Ella Baker PTSA would like to give thanks to all of you!
Thank you for your time both in and out of the school and for what you do for your child, teachers and other staff and students. Thank you for your smiles and hellos as we pass in the halls, on the streets, and in our community. Thank you for your monetary donations to the PTSA during our Build A Bear Fun and the Fun Run. We are working with the school to get those funds back to the kids to support their teachers and learning. The outpouring of community-building was felt at our PTSA Bingo Night. Thank you to those who volunteered, organized, and came. The sense of community was also felt through the overwhelming donations of books to help build our schools library. There are many, many more reasons to express gratitude to you and your families at this time, but we know there are project to complete and meals to be made. May you know each one of your families has a place at Ella Baker Elementary and you are what makes our PTSA great.

The PTSA and Reflections Committee would like to thank and congratulate every student artist who participated in the 50th PTSA Reflections Art Contest. The submissions were of high quality and it was clear that each young artist put a huge amount of effort into representing their heroes and what they mean to them. We were thrilled to have received a total of 30 entries, spanning the categories of Visual Arts, Photography, Literature, and Film Production. What a great response for Ella Baker's first year!
Please join us in congratulating the students whose art was selected to advance to the next level of the Reflections Competition: Aavik Nakra, Aditi Ramkumar, Amber Chang, Anusha Chintalapati, Anushka Pakhare, Carolyn Ji, Ethan Snodgrass, Eliana Snodgrass, Kimberly Zhao, Molly Dong, Nora Cizmus, Rahul Purkayastha, Rishi Srinivasan, Sanika Deshpande, Soham Jhaveri, Tvesha Joshi. The district level judging will be happening in December and we wish all the best to our Ella Baker artists!
We would also like to extend a huge thank-you to our Principal, teachers, and staff. We are especially grateful to Mrs.King and the front office staff for helping to make this program a success by providing info to the students and collecting and saving the artwork, as well as Mrs. Johnson for supporting the program by doing Reflections presentations in the library. MONTHLY STAFF APPRECIATION BREAKFAST - December 14th
What better way to show your love and appreciation for our amazing Ella Baker staff than by hosting a monthly Staff Appreciation Breakfast?! The PTSA would love your help in making this happen! Each month, we will be asking a grade/den to host a monthly Staff Appreciation Breakfast by signing up to bring food/drinks etc and/or volunteer for set up or clean up.
Note: Feel free to sign up even if you are not a parent of a 4th/5th grade.
