Some inspiring things
1. Elie Wiesel on Oprah's SuperSoul podcast. At 82, lying on a hospital bed facing the prospect of an open heart surgery, Elie Wiesel felt like he was just getting started. There was still so much he had to say, so many books to write, so many people he wanted to see, so many things to do, so many places to go... When I am 82 I want to still be as passionate about life as him.
2. I've been listening to a lot of podcasts. This is another one I really like. Pico Iyer talks about the art of stillness. And I enjoy his website very much.
3. Listen to Ólafur Arnalds perform live in Iceland.
4. I just finished reading "Bad Blood" by John Carreyrou. A stranger-than-fiction story about "the breathtaking rise and shocking collapse of Theranos, the multibillion-dollar biotech startup" created by Elizabeth Holmes, who was once touted as the next Steve Jobs. The book is about how the Theranos house of cards crumbled because behind the sky-high valuation of the startup, the brilliant marketing, the cult status of Elizabeth Holmes, there was actually no real technology. A brilliant + crazy read.
5. I am jealous that this is not my own photo project. Beautiful, a little strange and very poignant.
6. Quote to think about: "Nobody ever figures out what life is all about, and it doesn't matter. Explore the world. Nearly everything is really interesting if you go into it deeply enough. Work as hard as much as you want to on things you like to do the best. Don't think about what you want to be, but what you want to do." - Richard Feynman
