GIVE TO CLAREMONT THIS GIVING TUESDAY!

Please consider marking Giving Tuesday by taking a moment to make a contribution to the Claremont Fund. The sad truth is that the funding our students receive from the State of California isn’t sufficient to sustain the high level of education and opportunity that we, as parents, demand. Donations to the Claremont Fund are critical in bridging this funding gap. 100% of your donation will be spent in 2018/19, so your donations directly benefit your child / children this schoolyear. Your donations are also tax-deductible! 

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO? 
The Claremont Fund is one of the most important ways the PTA raises money for the school. We are asking 100 percent of our families to participate by giving an amount that works for your family. 

The PTA spends about $500 per student on a range of academic and other programs at Claremont. This includes supporting after school sports, funding student field trips, helping with the music program, paying for equipment for the 3D animation lab and funding community events such as Science and Math night. 

Additionally, the PTA contributes to the school by supplementing Mr. Mayer's budget for staff positions so that there are more instructors in the classroom and it helps pay for our great librarian, Grace Kenny. To keep these great programs going, the PTA has set a goal of $100,000 for the Claremont Fund this schoolyear. 

HOW MUCH SHOULD I GIVE? 
You can give as little or as much as your family feels comfortable giving — all contributions are celebrated and greatly appreciated! Your contribution makes a difference to our students. The PTA spends around $500 per student and so we suggest a $500, one time contribution, or $45 per month over the year.

OTHER WAYS TO PAY: If you prefer to pay by check, make your check payable to the Claremont PTA and drop it off in the office or mail it to the Claremont PTA, Claremont Middle School, 5750 College Ave., Oakland, CA 94618. Please include your full name, address and email address with your payment.
