Fighting Mass Incarceration

In a groundbreaking suit Abolitionist Law Center and Campaign to Fight Toxic Prisons have filed suit to stop construction of a new prison in Kentucky. This is the first time prisoners have ever sued under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) to contest a prison construction project. It is necessary to stop the expansion of prisons in the fight for abolition, especially when they pose environmental and health risks
