SOBEYS/SAFEWAY – Joy of Giving Campaign

SATURDAY, December 1, 2018
Shift: 10:45 am – 4:15 pm
EVENT DETAILS
2 volunteers are needed for each shift at each of the 20 Sobeys/Safeway locations to accept monetary and non-perishable donations, thank donors, and issue tax receipts.
Lunch will be provided to volunteers by each store.
PARKING DETAILS
Parking is available on site.

Holy Cross Alumnea Fundraiser

December 6, 2018
FCJ Centre - 219 19 Ave SW -11:00 am - 2:00pm
2 Volunteers are needed.
Accepting donations and writing tax receipts
Lunch is included. This is an indoor event.

One or two volunteer needed to accept monetary donations during the Choir performance. This is an indoor event. Paid parking available (at volunteers expense) or Calgary Transit is recommended.

Event Details:
1 volunteer are needed to give out hot chocolate to guests

CBC Suncor Donation Desk

Suncor Building – 150 6 Ave SW
Tuesday December 11- Morning Shift: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Wednesday December 12 -  Afternoon Shift: 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Thursday December 13 -  Afternoon Shift: 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
1-2 volunteers each shift collecting food and monetary donations.
Calgary Transit is recommended. Paid Parking available in area (at volunteers expense).

Triovest Christmas Party - Centrium Place

Thursday December 13, 2018
Shift: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

2 volunteers needed to collect food and monetary donations as well as issue tax receipts.

CBC Donation Desk

CBC Building – 1000 Veterans Place NW
Sunday December 16th - 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Wednesday December 19 - Afternoon Shift: 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
and Evening Shift: 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
1 volunteers each shift accepting food and monetary donations.

CBC Fifth Avenue Place Donation Desk

December 11, 2018 - Morning Shift: 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
5 volunteers needed as run marshalls to help keep runners safe along the route. *this is an outdoor position and appropriate clothing needs to be worn*

Saturday December 23, 2018
Evening Shift: 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Thank you to everyone for your commitment and support throughout the year in making the Calgary Food Bank a safe and healthy place to work, volunteer and visit. This month, our distribution line will by extra busy! Just a few reminders to keep everyone on the line safe:

-Keep long hair, loose clothing and jewelry away from the conveyor belt

-When pushing crates always be aware of crates coming in the opposite direction to avoid getting your hands or fingers pinched.

-It is best to push smaller loads of crates rather than attempting to move the whole line. The twisting motion can put extra strain on your back.

-If an extra push is required, shout down the line so everyone knows the crates are coming and can get out of the way.
