TETRAMAX Newsletter, November 2018

Dear colleague,

TETRAMAX, the one-stop shop for digitizing European SMEs, has successfully completed its first year of operation. As a major reflection point, the annual meeting with our Industrial Advisory Board (see https://www.tetramax.eu/team/) took place in September in Aachen, and was instrumental in streamlining our future strategies and preparing for the first official EC project review in October.

We are continuing our series of EU-wide open calls for funded Technology Transfer Experiments (TTX), for sure a highlight among the numerous TETRAMAX offerings. Find the essential information below or meet our tech transfer experts at various upcoming events, e.g. during a special session at the ICT Conference on December 4 in Vienna.

I´d like to cordially invite especially TTX proposals from new EU member states and candidates that will likely join soon. In collaboration with the HiPEAC Network, we are systematically visiting those countries within an on-site workshop campaign. Our recent trips to Montenegro, Ukraine, and Albania once again reconfirmed an impressive level of local ICT excellence. Let´s create a win-win via more personal interactions and joint TTX and R&D projects!

Best wishes!
Rainer Leupers

The first TETRAMAX Industrial Advisory Board meeting

One year in the project, it was time to reflect on actions taken and actions to be taken in the next year.  Therefore, TETRAMAX organized an industrial advisory board meeting with distinguished external experts from various horizontal and vertical ICT industry domains. The Board critically reviewed the project progress and suggested improvements from an external perspective.

One of the advisory board members, Dr Matthias Weiss, Managing Director of CommSolid GmbH, Dresden, Germany made the following conclusion:

Tetramax is one of the impressive examples what can be achieved if European Partners push for one common goal: transfer academic excellence into new businesses. Building upon years of experience in similar programs by applying constant learnings and novel ideas provides an extremely vivid framework for success. Great achievements after only one year set high expectation for a further blooming Tetramax future. Looking forward for more to come!”

TETRAMAX visits Albania

On 8 October, Rainer Leupers and Koen De Bosschere presented TETRAMAX and HiPEAC to colleagues at the Epoka University in Albania. The visit has led to several new contacts between Albanian colleagues and the partners of TETRAMAX.
