Palliative Care Society of the Bow Valley

WE’RE NOW READY FOR LAUNCH…

From our inception in 2014, the Palliative Care Society of the Bow Valley (PCSBV) has evolved rapidly. We are a not-for-profit, community-led group working to address the need to improve the end-of-life experience for individuals and their families who call the Bow Valley home.

Our aim is to promote local palliative care and spread awareness for compassionate, whole-life care. Our ultimate goal is to support construction of a full hospice care facility for our Bow Valley communities. At this pivotal time in our journey, we are recruiting for a permanent, full-time Executive Director.

The successful incumbent will:

- have a minimum of 5-years’ not-for-profit experience with a demonstrated track record of adding value to the organization;
- be confident, tactful and diplomatic in day-to-day operations, projecting strong leadership skills;
- be able to run all facets of our society either directly or through third parties;
- project a strong image, reflecting our values, beliefs and organizational goals, while representing our society in the community; and,
- provide initiative and strategic vision to the Board.

Reporting to the Board Chair, the Executive Director will oversee and control the PCSBV’s operations while delivering on the society’s vision, mission and goals. This position is 5-days/week and involves some evening and weekend hours (e.g. Board meetings, Executive Committee meetings, PCSBV community events). Base salary ranges from $65,000 to $72,000 commensurate with experience. An allowance in lieu of benefits is also provided along with contributions towards a RRSP.

More information on the PCSBV is available at https://palliativecarebowvalley.com/. Interested applicants should submit an email resume to pcsbvtreasurer@gmail.com no later than November 14, 2018.

We appreciate the interest of all candidates, however, only those selected for interviews will be contacted.
