This sermon series the children will be discussing gratitude.
November 18th - The children discussed the many families in our life in particular our Trinity family and God's family. We talked about people who may not have a family to celebrate Thanksgiving with this week and the children made Thanksgiving placemats that were donated to Meals on Wheels.
November 25th - The children will be talking about what they are grateful for and creating a gratitude journal to use at home.
Special Offering

Your generosity provided 10 families with a Thanksgiving meal, and will provide Christmas gifts for the 20 children who are members of these families. This offering will continue through December 9th. Thank you again for your continued support of these families and our partnership with Ridgetop.

Trinity Family Advent Workshop - with frosting!
Saturday, December 1st, 10:00am
This year families will create a calendar that will provide opportunities for intentionality and thoughtfulness during this Advent season. Together families will pick service and kindness related activities that will fit their family's schedules, ages, and needs. Projects could be holding the door for someone, picking a toy to donate to a toy drive, writing a letter to a loved one, or helping clean up trash in the neighborhood. Trinity will provide TONS of project ideas and your family will choose the 25 projects that work best for your family and make an advent chain to use at home.
Trinity will also provide the December 1st advent activity for your family! After you create your family advent chain, come help decorate Christmas Cookies for the homeless. We will have cookies, frosting, and sprinkles for your family to decorate cookies.

Social Justice Sunday School
This week we will be welcoming a very special guest from the Austin Sanctuary Network
You Do Not Want to miss This !
We meet Sundays at 10am in the social justice class room
at the end of the hall next to the community hall.
Diaper Drive
The Trinity United Methodist Women are sponsoring a baby diaper and baby wipes drive to benefit Hope Food Pantry. Many of the Pantry’s clients are parents with infants or young toddlers, or grandparents who are raising grandchildren or providing daytime childcare for their grandchildren. Providing these families with diapers and baby wipes is an important part of the service that Hope Food Pantry offers. The Pantry relies solely on donations of these items in order to have a supply available for distribution. Diaper sizes needed are from newborn to size 5, BUT PARTICULARLY sizes 4 and 5 because they are the most requested sizes. You can bring your donated diapers and wipes beginning November 11 through November 25 and place them in the designated bin in the narthex. Thank you for helping with this important assistance to the families served by Hope Food Pantry.
Austin Sanctuary Network
Trinity's Social Justice class will host speakers from the Austin Sanctuary Network (ASN) this Sunday, November 25, at 10 AM.
ASN needs volunteers for its Accompaniment Program, a process of going with immigrants to San Antonio for transportation and/or emotional support while they endure ankle monitor check-ins at for-profit, prison industry sites and ICE court events. The presence of privileged allies is extremely helpful. Contact Peggy (morton.peg@gmail.com) to participate.
For an up-close look at what it is like for immigrants from Central America who go to extraordinary lengths to try to reach the U.S., Trinity's own Bryan Mealer recently published this story: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/nov/19/americas-border-wars-my-week-in-a-land-of-trauma.
