Napa Employment Connection provides basic career services to customers who are currently receiving public assistance benefits or anyone who would like assistance applying for benefits in Napa County. This includes: CalFresh, General Assistance, Medi-Cal, and CalWORKs benefits. Basic career services include: signing up for our job blast email updates, viewing job leads in the career center, utilizing the computer lab for job search, referrals to training providers, and access to our career closet and career development workshops.
Customers enrolled in Welfare-to-Work or CFET (CalFresh Employment & Training) receive comprehensive career development services and are assigned to an Employment Services Worker. Comprehensive services include: all basic career services and on-the-job training, subsidized and transitional employment, resume assistance, 1:1 career coaching, and job placement. Veterans who are enrolled in the above programs have the opportunity to access financial assistance to pay for vocational training.
