Around the traps in lycra
Hello Members,
It's been a big month for club members at various events over the past month
Congrats to the travelling Darlow's on their successful mission to Shepparton recently
Julie smashing a PB and Mick finishing 3rd. Wonderful effort guys
Hank Duchateau and Alina Hill competed in the Pan Pacs that were held recently on the Gold Coast.
Both grabbing plenty of shiny metal that should keep BHP in business for another 5 mins
Apologies to anyone we missed that participated
The Coffs Rockets were well represented at the Yamba tri festival on the weekend. This was round 2 of the inter-club series.
Congratulation to those that made it to the podium. Trev Fidge, Jen Williams, Jen Hoyle, Mark 'IM' Garner, Bec Varney, Kayne and Jorga Wells.
Thanks to Jan Rooney for capturing the event
Word on the lycravine is that Matt Moffat was going so fast , he missed the bike turnaround, adding another 3k to the trip.
Just a tad further north, and a group of 16 tackled the Hervey Bay 100
Its along way to go, but it is a great event, and the weather this year was kind
Some wonderful performances coming from everyone that competed, but hats off to Tina Benoit who had her customary smile on the whole way, a mighty performance
Closer to home , and this weekend its back to club racing.
Palate & Ply and CanDo Cancer are our sponsors for this weekend.
It's our normal Sprint distance and Enticer with the weather looking very favourable again.
Then lock yourself in for a long course 'closed transition' on December 9.
For those that are not familiar with 'closed transition' this is where we shut the transition area to all competitors at 6-15 am
We will have our TO's on site to check that your equipment is safe and race ready. There will be 1 entry point into the transition area prior to the race for this check.
You will then have to rack your bike and have everything ready by the cut off time of 6-15..only your race gear to be in transition. We will have a dedicated baggage area for your other personal belongings.
This is to help educate our members as to when they do sanctioned events, they will be aware of what takes place.
Feel free to let us know what events you are doing and we can circulate to our members
