Christmas across East Kent
It wouldn't be Christmas without our usual delve into the archives, looking back at how hospitals across East Kent celebrated Christmas in times gone by. You can browse the full archive on the Trust's Flickr page.

Best of the BMJ Christmas edition
It also wouldn't be Christmas without the British Medical Journal's festive issue, where research papers are more light-hearted in theme, but no less rigorously peer reviewed! Here are some of our highlights...
• Golf habits among physicians and surgeons - an observational cohort study.
• Ham for the holidays - a taste test for expensive jamon highlights the importance of asking the right research question.
• Is it time to use the emoji in biomedical literature? - ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
• Parachute use to prevent death and major trauma (versus an empty backpack) - a tongue-in-cheek look at the pitfalls of randomized controlled trials.
• Sharing an act of kindness - sometimes the smallest acts of kindness and compassion can make the biggest difference.
