This month we are organising a free fundraising training for anyone aged 15-25 who wants to sail in the 2019 Tall Ships Races & International Exchanges. This training will be in Dutch.

Join us in Amsterdam on December 15th for an intensive few hours of training with an experienced coach.

More info - in Dutch.

Limited places available.
Register at info@windseeker.org to ensure your spot.

We'll see you in Amsterdam!

If you live too far away to join us, we recommend you read this Fundraising Handbook to help with funding your Journey.
This unique International Exchange is open to young people aged 15-25 years from: Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, France, UK and Sweden (26-28 at request).

Sail the vegetarian Tall Ship Vega Gamleby in Sweden, starting in Gothenburg, visiting Stockholm among others, and disembarking in Karlshamn. Over 20 days on board you will learn everything you need to know about sailing a Tall Ship.

This project is set up in cooperation with By the Ocean we Unite, who will send along a marine biologist to teach you and your new friends all there is to know about plastic pollution. We will be doing scientific research, collecting water samples and organising beach clean-ups, making a difference whilst exploring new places!

This is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange and after completing the journey you will be awarded with a Youth Pass - the official EU certificate of skills and competences.

Besides being a great adventure, this project will also provide you with the knowledge and inspiration to start making a change yourself and contribute to making the world a healthier place.

15 July - 04 August 2019
Price for ages 15-25: € 975,-

Potential reimbursement of your travel cost to- and from the Ship might be possible - read more in the link below.

Once more we took part in the International Sail Training and Tall Ships Conference organised by Sail Training International.

Over several days in Seville, Spain, we had an opportunity to meet our friends from the world of Sail Training and learn from each other. We were happy to notice a focus on sustainability in sailing, highlighted by a presentation by Challenge Wales' Vicky Williams. Monique Touw, the Director of Windseeker, was one of the speakers sharing the experience of ensuring the welfare of trainees on board.

The title of the Sail Trainer of the Year went to Captain Jan-Willem Ouwerkerk of the Eendracht, while Picton Castle has been named the Sail Training Organisation of the Year. Harlingen received a Hostport Trophy for sending the largest number of 347 trainees on the Tall Ships Races.

It was great to meet everyone and we're looking forward to working with you all in 2019!
