SSLP Professional Learning Trio
Forty four teachers representing eight SSLP schools came together last Wednesday to hear David Didau present three theories that promise to make our kids smarter. We'll be meeting again in January to test out his theories.

SSLP Photography Competition
Fifty entries were received for the "Stairways" round of the Street Photography competition, take a look at them on Flickr. The winners will be announced shortly. 
Entries from staff and students are encouraged for month two "Outside Looking In : Inside Looking Out".
SENCo Christmas Drinks
Thursday 6th December, 5-7pm
SEN teams from across the SSLP are invited to Bell House tonight for Christmas drinks, mince pies, chocolate and the opportunity to discuss Bell House's dyslexia work.
DPG Teacher Panel
Kate Kulka, Learning Programme Manager at Dulwich Picture Gallery is recruiting for a new Teachers' Panel. This will be a consultative body that will influence their educational programme and help to build relationships with the local learning community. The group will meet once per term and is open to teachers in Southwark, Lewisham and Lambeth. Email Kate Kulka for more information.
Particle School at CERN

Deadline: Thursday 10th January
For the fourth year running SSLP Year 12 Physics students are invited to enter short essays to win a place on this  incredible trip. Just twelve students from the South East Region will get to experience the life of a researcher at CERN.
Mock Medicine MMIs
19 SSLP students applying to study medicine at university have or will undergo mock Mini Multiple Interviews at Dulwich College and Queen's College London. We wish them luck in their future careers.
Schools Together
Building on the success of All Together Now, featuring musical collaborations, Schools Together are looking to showcase interesting projects in the areas of University Access and Mutuality / Reciprocity. If you have a project you think should be featured please contact me so that we can compile a response.
Talent Ed
We were delighted to meet Matthew Roberts from TalentEd last week. TalentEd are already working with one of our schools to offer expert teachers to small groups. TalentEd are looking to work with Southwark schools & tutors.
The Advocacy Academy
TAA is a transformational six-month Fellowship programme that exists to unleash the power of young people from South London to create a more fair, just and equitable society. If you have a student currently in lower-sixth who cares about social justice then ensure they apply before the 10th February.
UNIQ
UNIQ Summer Schools
Oxford University's free flagship outreach programme for modern linguists is open for applications from first year A Level students at state schools. They will run immersive residential courses (which are both academic and social) in French, German and Spanish during July.
