Major dark web drug dealers have begun voluntarily banning fentanyl from sales
The dark web has long been a hotspot for illicit substances, with anonymous drug dealers selling everything from marijuana to ice, hidden behind a computer screen.
But there’s one substance even online drug users are getting too concerned to dabble with — fentanyl.
Major dark web drug suppliers have begun voluntarily banning the synthetic opioid substance, saying it is too dangerous to trade, The Guardian reports.
According to the National Crime Agency in the UK, dealers on the dark web are “delisting” the drug, classifying it among items that are too high-risk to trade. Read more

The US-China trade war truce includes a pledge by Beijing to tackle another lucrative - and deadly - export: fentanyl, a potent opioid ravaging US communities.
The United States has pressed Beijing to do more to crack down on the drug, as smugglers from China are suspected of being the main suppliers of the narcotic, which is 50 times stronger than heroin.
At the weekend G20 summit in Argentina, China agreed to designate any type of fentanyl as controlled substances, with the US saying this would expose offenders to the maximum penalty under Chinese law - capital punishment. Read more

Blood work was supposed to be the last step in Isela’s application for life insurance. But when she arrived at the lab, her appointment had been cancelled.
"That was my first warning," Isela said. She contacted her insurance agent and was told her application was denied because something on her medication list indicated that Isela uses drugs. Isela, who works in an addiction treatment program at Boston Medical Center (BMC), scanned her med list. It showed a prescription for the opioid-reversal drug naloxone, brand name Narcan.
"But I’m a nurse, I use it to help people," Isela remembered telling her agent. "If there is an overdose, I could save their life." Read more
