Preparing for Brexit

Whilst the vote on the deal is set to take place in parliament next week, the Government is helping businesses prepare for all eventualities - including a 'no  deal' exit - now.

Guidance has been published to support businesses to prepare for changes at the UK border on 'day one' should we leave the EU without a deal in March next year.

The pack provides key stakeholders and intermediaries working with businesses with a high-level guide to the customs processes and procedures that are likely to apply.

The Government states that publication of this pack does not reflect an increased likelihood of 'no deal' - it is about ensuring that plans are in place in the event they need to be relied on.

Have your say on the Council's budget

We're inviting businesses to give us their feedback on our four year financial plan.

The plan sets out how resources will be allocated and outlines the financial pressures the Council is likely to experience alongside our plans to mitigate these pressures.
