Holidays are stressful
Here are 6 tips on staying healthy this December
The end of the year brings people together. Friends and Family gather to celebrate, exchange gifts and enjoy each others company.
Sometimes however this can add extra stress to our daily lives. Cleaning, cooking, shopping and travelling can become overwhelming.
Here are a few ways to stay healthy during stressful times:
Take a Break
Things will get busy and hectic. So when possible try and get away. Even if it's just for a 5 minute breather.
Drink and Eat Up
Stay hydrated by drinking plenty water, tea or your favorite alcoholic or non alcoholic beverage. Just don't over do it with the booze.

Exercise
Getting your body moving will help you feel better, release endorphins, and make some extra room for cake.
Listen to Music
A single song can change the mood in an instant. Listen to your favorite (holiday or non holiday) music while you cook, clean or entertain to pass time and reduce stress.
Don't Hold it In
If you are frustrated with your partner, a friend or family member - find an appropriate time to talk with them. Bottling up your feelings will lead to unnecessary stress.
Plan Ahead
In-laws coming to town? Holiday Ham not cooked perfectly? Last minute items always come up. Try to have your food menu and activities planned out ahead of time (just make sure to leave time for relaxing!)
