Happy December!

The month of December is such a wonderful month in so many ways! I see it as a month where I wrap up any projects on my To-Do list and then begin planning my 2019 calendar - More about that below.

Left on my To-Do list is to say Thank you to all of Anna's Friends for your continued support of the goals of this amazing work for parents, educators, and most of all, the children!

RECAPPING 2018:

In 2018 we are happy that we were able to launch the Educator's Tool Kits for Kindergarten to 2nd Grade and 3rd to 5th grade. Responses have been favorable from educators. If you missed the newsletter this past summer where we launched these two additions to the Anna's Friends series, here is a review from an elementary school teacher that reviewed the Tool Kits:

Thank you Susan for this wonderful review of the "Anna's Friends for Educators" curriculum (K-2 and 3rd to 5th grade programs) Susan Anderson has taught elementary school age children for over 40 years. :

     Young children, their parents, and teachers will be blessed through the use of this curriculum.
     Mrs. Williams has created a comprehensive method of identifying, and developing appreciation
     for each child's unique, God-given motivational gift. The activities provided will help children
     use their gifts in all aspects of life.

     Children will love getting to know Anna and her friends, and learning about the personality
     characteristics they share! Developing an understanding of themselves and others will
     help children value the unique perspective of each individual.

     One of the most valuable tools for parents and teachers is guidance for incorporating each
     child's motivational gift in conflict resolution. This approach allows children to feel valued, even
     in the midst of conflict with others, and helps them develop effective responses.

     The Educator's Tool Kits about the Motivational Gifts will be immensely beneficial in every
     homeschool program!"

2.  In July, Anna's Friends had a booth at the Southeast Homeschool Expo in Atlanta and made some wonderful new friends. Thank you Atlanta for your dedication to discovering your children's God-given motivational gifts.

All in all it has been a productive year and we have fun plans for 2019. Again, THANK YOU moms, dads, grandparents, and educators! You are a continued inspiration for me!
 

My first day as a substitute teacher was in the special needs class. I did not know what to expect nor if substitute teaching was going to be for me. The first day on the job, I was inspired beyond measure by the young woman that teaches this class. Her love of the 10 children she has in her care on a daily basis is admirable and her dedication to their development makes me proud to work along side her. I am more than proud to honor Ms. Sandy Reighart as Anna's Friends Educator of the Month! We need more teachers like you, Sandy!! Thank you for all you do for the children!
