Holiday Staff Party!
The annual staff holiday party has been scheduled for Friday, December 14th and we need your help to make it great!
Sign up hereto bring in beer and wine, hearty savory appetizers and some sweet treats. Alcoholic beverages should be dropped off in Amanda McAdoo's office only. Let's make this the best and tastiest party yet by supplying LOTS of food. Show the teachers and staff how much we appreciate all that they do for our kids each and every day.
Food and drinks should be dropped off in the office any time on Thursday the 13th or Friday the 14th. Food can be stored in the fridge, but please leave warming instructions if needed. Remember we have several gluten free, low-carb and vegetarian teachers. We need enough food and drink for 22 people.
Any questions? Please contact Margie Welty at margiewelty@me.com

Wolf has been accused of destroying all three of the pigs' homes and dear old Granny of Red Riding Hood fame is suspected of stealing the Queen of Hearts' tarts. Never has such scandal rocked the world of Wonderland! From B. B Wolf's brother to the three little pigs to a loquacious scientist, it's a mad and frantic search for justice!
An Opportunity For Our Community to Help a Family in Need
Are you looking for an amazing opportunity to get involved this holiday season? Every year I organize an ‘adopt a family’ through the local Head Start program by gathering friends together and providing gifts, food, and holiday cheer to a family in need. This year the family that’s ‘been adopted’ is a multi generational family of 6 all living in a small mobile home and struggling to make ends meet. This is a very grass roots experience with all of the money/gifts going directly to the family and not through any organization- I will deliver everything right to the families door :-)
I’ve created a spread sheet with the families gift wish lists and food likes for people to sign up. No gift is too small and things can be homemade, gently used, or new. There’s also an option to just donate money and I will use it to fill in the gaps for items that didn’t get purchased (or if everything gets purchased I will put it towards their utility bills).
All gifts need to be wrapped, labeled, and to me by Wed Dec 19th. I can pick up gifts from the school office or they can be dropped off at my house in Milwaukie.
PLEASE email, call, or text me for questions or for me to send you the link to the sign up sheet.
Last year this amazing community pulled together and I had a whole car load of gifts to deliver to a family- they were SO grateful and I’m hoping for another wonderful year!!!
