Dear Parents/Guardians and Staff of Donaldsonville City Schools,
This week, we received great news that the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LaDOTD) will open two lanes of the Sunshine Bridge this weekend. We are happy to hear about this progress as it is one step closer to resuming normal operations at all of our schools.
All Donaldsonville City schools will maintain the existing modified school hours through December 2018. A decision and announcement about school hours in January will be made and communicated before the holiday break.
As we explore how traffic patterns will impact staff who serve children in Donaldsonville, all employees will transition to a return to normal work schedules by Dec. 10, 2018. We will use this time to gauge impacts before resuming normal school schedules for students.
