What are you Missing?
A while ago I ordered a bulk supply of wax ear plugs.
Strange thing to buy perhaps, but I was fed up of running out and the local chemist didn’t always have them in.
And believe me,
when one lives with someone who’s snoring can cut glass and create earth tremors –
they’re an essential.
So the other evening, I was looking for them in the ‘safe place’ where I had put them.
Guess what? They weren’t there.
So I spent an hour of my life hunting around the house in all my other ‘safe places’ finding lots of things I had put by safely (and forgotten about) but could I find these ear plugs? Not a chance.
The next evening, very grumpy and tired, I had another good look and still couldn’t find them. So frustrating.
I gave up and ordered them!!!
The next day and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. As I did this, I spied, out of the corner of my eye, a package containing the said items that I had been frantically searching for! I can’t even begin to describe the relief! Haha!
And then I remembered.....
They had been moved from the safe place to another safe place!
But they were not exactly hidden, or in a cupboard or drawer.
The package was right there in full view on the shelf –
and I would have seen them every single day!
So this got me thinking.
This was something that I was so familiar with, that I have seen on a daily basis and become so used to, that I couldn’t actually SEE it for seeing it!
It had become so familiar that it had become invisible.
I wonder how many of us do this – not necessarily literally – unless you’re a person of a ‘certain age’ like myself – but with other things. People, gifts, blessings. All of these things we CAN begin to take for granted – especially if they are just a part of our everyday lives – that they become unseen and just something that is there – and the joy and blessing that they are becomes dulled and insignificant.
So my challenge to you this week is- what is there (if anything) – be it a thing or a person or a job or our gift – that we are so used to that we end up taking it / them for granted and forget to see the beauty (and in the case of ear plugs – peace!) that they bring to our lives!

What do we see and what do we pretend that we cant see because we want to avoid facing certain things .... I had a couple of clients today and I found myself telling them of what I feel about psuedo friendships (or aquaintances), and this is my go to phrase.
"If my life is enriched by your presence then I embrace you, but if I am not deprived by your absence then you can **** off "
Too many people smile at your face and talk behind your back and yet society expects you to play the game and pretend that you dont notice when really, YOU DO.
Think about it... In my life these are energy vampires and they are not welcome. Full Stop.

Are you really going to go there, are you really going to do that? If I was you I would have a quick rethink about the consequences of your actions. Better still, get the bucket from Scorpio who had it last and stick it over your head.
Leo
Hmmm I wonder if there is room under the bucket for two people or maybe we should add another one for you this week Leo. It doesn’t matter what you say or do, it’s bound to be the wrong thing. Awe well you can only please some of the people some of the time.
Virgo
Mercury and Pluto swoop into your chart and stay till mid December. They bring powerful influences that will stimulate fresh new desires and actions and you will be under pressure to change things for no apparent reason other than you want to.
Libra

Stand in front of a window and take a deep purifying in breath and visualise that you are breathing in sparkling light energy. Raise your hands high above your head and then clasp your hands together in the prayer position. Draw your hands down in front of your face, still clasped, down past your heart and then separate your hands and spread them as far apart as you can to each side. Visualise all your chakra points being activated and say the following prayer as you do so.
You who are the source of all power and good
Please show me what I need to know when I need to know it
Help me to listen with understanding and speak with wisdom
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change
And the wisdom to change the things I can change.
Please show me what I need to know so that I may understand.
The world is an abundant place and
I am grateful for those gifts I have already been given
