Our year end update.

Our seventh school year at Capriccio! is almost complete... It has been another exciting rollercoaster ride of thrills, adventure and fun!  As we start winding down and bracing ourselves for the Festive Season, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you, all our parents, for your endless support throughout the year.  To all our little ones who have done so well - as reflected in their year end reports - we are so proud of you!
Keep shining bright like diamonds!

CONCERT NEWS:

We held our breaths in great anticipation as our little ones walked onto stage – backstage was abuzz with energy, excitement and feather boas!  With the start of our opening number we were blown away!  Well done to all our little stars – we are so proud!

EXTRAMURAL ACTIVITIES 2019:

The concert was just a little peek as to what you can expect with our extramural programs, launching in January with Teacher Tashai, in the afternoons. 
Note: Our school curriculum remains as is next year, incorporating our current performing arts school programs, but our extramural programs in the afternoons offer more in-depth exposure and specialisation.
We have limited spots available, especially in vocals and piano, so grab your little one's spot early.
Flexinastix continues in 2019, split into a junior and senior level.

2019 CLASS PLACEMENTS:

Learners are grouped anew at the start of each school year and class placements, in most instances, do not relate to a learner's progress at school the previous year. Where a class group contained learners within a certain age range in the previous year, it may contain learners in a smaller or bigger age range the next year. Also note that class and staff placements are done at the start of the new school year and are finalised during the first two weeks of school - We ask kindly that you trust our educators' discretion in this regard; we have only your little one's best interest at heart.

As we look back on the school year, here are a few highlights from our teachers ...

BACH AND MOZART

Our highlight was having 11 two-year olds’ paint their cardboard houses all at once.  Painting took on a whole new meaning when it became ACTION ART!

BEETHOVEN

The Creepy Crawly show was our favourite – We almost forgot to breathe as we were waiting to wow at what was going to crawl out of the next container…Just to get sprayed with a spurt of water!

CHOPIN

We had an amazing year with plenty of highlights, the exploration of a variety of art styles and mediums being a firm favourite. A meaningful experience for all was taking part in the Fallen Angels initiative. The children learnt to show compassion, kindness and putting others first - an unforgettable opportunity!

STRAVINSKY  

2018 was a year of several highlights, but one of the best was our year end class farewell at the beach. The class had such fun frolicking in the water - even though my toes were turning blue - and everyone marvelled at the girls’ mermaid tails!  
We also shared some precious moments in class during prayer time; the children blew my mind with beautiful thoughts such as “Thank you for life” and “Thank you for oxygen.”  

On this note we would like to wish our Gr Rs all the best on their journey ahead and may laughter, love, friendship and happy memories lead the way forward!
