Our contact in Ivory Coast writes that in the village of M’Batto Bouaké, in the rural zone of Bingerville, families living in poverty strive to give their children a better future. The mothers work in the manioc fields and make a traditional food called l’ attiéké which is laborious to produce but brings in little income. They don’t have the means to send each of their children to school and have to choose which one of them will get an education.

LINCCO is supporting a community initiative medical camp at St. Claret Health Centre in Nyabwina-Mbarara, Uganda on November 30^th and December 1^st. The camp provides diagnostic services, health care and dental care to people who cannot access a hospital.

Funds have been raised this fall to support projects in Lebanon and the Philippines. The funds will benefit adolescents, living in Lebanon, through social activities and training programs. 17 transportation scholarships are being awarded to young girls from poor rural areas enabling them to attend courses at Punlaan School in Manila.
