In our final newsletter for the year, we have some tips on how to relax and enjoy the holiday season and plan for a prosperous year ahead. Check out our new advisor, Viktoria Darabi. Scroll down to book a FREE session with her today.

The team at Realise Business would like to wish you a very happy holiday season.

Our offices will be closed from 21 December 2018 to 7 January 2019.

Managing cash flow during the holiday season

Depending on your business type, the December-January period could mean an increase in customers and cash flow, or it may be a slow period for your business.

If your business experiences slower trade over the holiday period you will need to conserve cash as you still need to pay suppliers, rent and your staff, but without the income. If you are a business owner in this category it would probably make sense to put a percentage of your takings during the year, into a separate account to draw upon during this quiet time.

Even business owners need a break

As much as the new year is a perfect time for setting your goals for the year ahead, and reflecting on the year that has passed, you also need to use the holiday period as an opportunity to take a break, if only for a few days.

If you are feeling overwhelmed with the all the things that you need to do in order to prepare for some time off, follow these tips to overcome seasonal stress.

How to prepare for the new year 2019

The start of a new year is an ideal time to reset your business goals or make some new ones. Goal setting is a good way to start the year, much like a new year’s resolution for your business.

Have one or two key goals that you can focus on, one longer term for example over a couple of years, and one over a shorter time frame perhaps 3-6 months. An example of a good business goal would be something that is measurable like; acquire 10 new customers with an average spend of $100 in the next three months.
