December 2018 e-Newsletter
Message from NRWC President Leonie Noble

Welcome to the NRWC's last newsletter for 2018, wow this year has moved at a rapid rate or is that just the feelings of busy women?

I am writing this with a sense of pride and accomplishment in the work of the NRWC, we have just completed our RRR Canberra Muster 2018 with 12 amazing rural women whose projects will make a discernible difference to their communities and rural Australia.

Today, Monday the 3rd December sees our Twitter Chat, highlighting sexual discrimination in the rural workplace assisting Sex Discrimination Commissioner Kate Jenkins work in this area and ensuring our rural women's voices are heard.

I would also like to wish everyone a sensational and safe festive season, it is always a time of reflection and often the only time in our busy lives that family is all in the same place, and for me it is as important to acknowledge the empty chairs of our loved ones no longer with us as it is to be with the people in the room.

So thank you for the support that you have all given the NRWC over the past 12 months and we look forward to making a difference to your lives in 2019.

Leonie
