It's already been an incredible week for OutRight, with nearly 50 activists from every region around the world. Telling their stories to government officials, advocating for change and advancing equality, these leaders also witnessed the emotional induction of Canada and Ecuador into the LGBTI Core Group (the Canadian Ambassador invoked her gay son's name!). Now 25 countries openly advocate for the rights of LGBTIQ people at the UN. And Tuesday, OutRight's event focused on LGBTIQ rights in Asia raised awareness (and funds) to keep the fight alive.

Saturday is OutRight's annual OutSummit (nearly decade now alongside International Human Rights Day) and this week Victory Fund's conference in DC - looking ahead is Task Force's annual Creating Change summit January 24-27 this year in frigid Detroit - that's a must-do for me! And the IGLA World Conference this year in Wellington March 18-22. But besides the opportunities to and learn about the advance of equality, there's also the unique annual parties like Mid-Atlantic Leather weekend in DC MLK weekend and Winter Party in Miami!
