Diversity & Inclusion Committee Meeting

Thursday December 13th, 5-6 pm, Room 202

Family resources for raising an inclusive and empathetic child. Snacks and child care provided.

At the next Diversity and Inclusion committee meeting we will be discussing how parents and caregivers can assist their kids in breaking down labels in the classroom and beyond. Information will be provided to help families have conversations that focus on empathy and avoid stereotyping. If you have any questions please email diversity@harveymilk.com.

Annual Giving Campaign Updates

Middle School Applications

ATTENTION ALL 5th GRADE FAMILIES:
Important reminder that the last day to apply to San Francisco's Public Elementary and Middle Schools is January 11, 2019

The application form was sent home to all SFUSD students, but you can pick up one at the office if you need a replacement. Applications MUST be turned in to Ms. Antonae or at 555 Franklin Street, Suite 100 or at one of Satellite Collection schools on or before January 11th. For more info see SFUSD Key Dates.

If you have an incoming (sibling) Kindergarten student you MUST apply by January 11th, 2019 and can follow the same directions as above. Applications can be turned in to Ms. Antonae or at 555 Franklin Street, Suite 100 or at one of the Satellite Collection schools.

Goodbye from Ms. Natasha

Our much appreciated social worker, Natasha Kunin is leaving the HMCRA community at the end of the calendar year and heading to Minneapolis for new opportunities. Please read her goodbye letter here and if you have a chance you can wish her well in person before her last day on the 21st.

Morning Program Family Gratitude Breakfast

Friday December 14, 8-9am, Cafeteria

All students who attend the before-school program and their families are warmly invited to a Family Gratitude Breakfast hosted by the YMCA and The Breakfast Project on Friday, December 14 from 8-9am in the school cafeteria. Student chefs will be proudly serving their own waffles, whipped cream, a seasonal fruit salad, and peppermint tea. Siblings accompanied by parents/guardians are welcome!

First Grade teacher Ms. Francis's annual toy drive for kids in need runs this year from November 26 - December 21. Please bring unwrapped toys for children newborn -17 (teens love gift cards!) to morning circle of the big toy barrel outside the office. Thank you in advance!
