Who are LifeBridgers?

We want you to know the people we feel so blessed to serve alongside of. We think LifeBridgers are pretty awesome and the best part is how unique each person's story is. So, we want to spend a little time each month telling you about them.
Meet Ilda and Eduardo. This dynamic couple has been so critical to LifeBridge long before we arrived.  They oversee the Sound and Media, which means they spend time every Saturday preparing for Sunday and then running our Sound and Media team on Sunday mornings. Eduardo and Ilda also are a part of our Ministry Leadership Team.

Eduardo and Ilda have lived all over Latin America (Venezuela, Guatemala and Costa Rica). When they moved from Costa Rica to Panama they knew about LifeBridge because the church they attended there was also an International Baptist Convention (IBC) Church. So when they arrived in Panama they quickly got involved at LifeBridge. They saw LifeBridge through the transition period when there was no Pastor and have continued to be a part of our team as the are involved in the Sound and Media team on Sunday morning.

Christmas at LifeBridge

When most people think of church and Christmas you think of Advent services and Christmas eve at church. However, here in Panama with the Expat community, things are different. Many of the people who attend LifeBridge will actually start leaving the city this week. Many people visit their home country or travel, so for LifeBridge, we do a lot of our holiday events before many people leave the city.

This past Saturday, we had a brunch at our house and this coming Saturday we will have an Christmas outreach event at Metro Amigo, the orphanage we partner with.

Grateful to Connect with YOU

It was wonderful to be in Pennsylvnia for a quick trip and to connect with many of you.  We continue to be blown away by the love and support that we receive from our family, friends and supporters. There is no way we would be doing ministry here in Panama without each of you. Thank you for being a part of our team!
Missed us this time? Don't worry. Our plan is to take two short trips back to the States yearly. This allows us to never be away from our ministry here in Panama for too long but also allows us to connect with you all in a meaningful way.

In each newsletter we will share a tid-bit about Panamanian life. Something unique, interesting or fun.

Christmas time is all about traditional food.  One item that invades super market shelves this time of year in Panama is Rosca. It's available starting in December and as Christmas gets closer it actually become difficult to find any other type of bread. This Panamanian holiday staple is simple, yet delicious and only available during this time of year.

Curious about life in Panama? What questions do you have for us? Let us know, we would love to share about topics that interest you about our country.

Praise & Prayer

We deeply appreciate your prayers for us and LifeBridge.

  • Praise for our encouraging time while in the States.
  • Pray for our events leading up to the holidays. The holidays can be a very lonely time for expats.
  • Pray as we plan for 2019, as we set goals and look to where God is leading us. Pray for unity within the Leadership Team and that we would lead well.
  • Pray that Nate and Jendi would have wisdom, patience and seek the Lord as we plan for the future.
Thank you for you prayers and support!
