This special newsletter is all about our upcoming annual
COLLECTIVE X SLOW CLAY
event. We would love to see you!

Workshop news: the dates for our 2019 Weekend Intensives are now all online so you can book and plan ahead if you will be attending from interstate or further afield! Kid's holiday classes too!

We hope 2018 has been good to you and you have had a chance to slow down and do something special this year. The team at Slow Clay thanks you for your support and involvement in our community and wishes you all the best for the festive season and for 2019.

Collective x Slow Clay

Christmas exhibition

The annual COLLECTIVE X SLOW CLAY is on again - you know, the one where we transform our hard-working but ever-practical studio into a schmick contemporary gallery space? For five days only you can come along to see 25+ of the finest makers of contemporary ceramics and other objects and enjoy a Christmas drink at our opening event on Wednesday 12 December, 6-8pm.

This year we have many wonderful interstate artists joining our local cohort, all offering some unique hand made treasures from their output. Everyone has been instructed to give us some pieces that would do anyone's collection proud and we are crazy with excitement to start unpacking the boxes that are arriving daily!

As usual, we focus on the idea of collecting, whether it's in a magpie kind of way for yourself, or in a more generous way for those special ones you want to show your love to. Remember, the gift of something made by hand communicates much more that what is seen on the surface. And it supports artists who give their lives in the pursuit of the elusive qualities that make our world a richer, more meaningful place to inhabit.
