USA: The 2018 Midterm Election is still in full swing. Recently, it came out that there may have been voter fraud in the North Carolina congressional race. Back it up: North Carolina requires witnesses to sign off on absentee ballots. Problem, since a significant number of absentee ballots were all signed by the same group of witnesses - some of whom have ties to a longtime operative working for the Republican candidate’s campaign. Yes, really. Now, the state is looking into potential voter fraud. Meanwhile, the outgoing governor of Wisconsin (a Republican) is looking to limit the power of the incoming governor (a Dem). WORLD: The other day, Qatar said ‘we’re out’ and announced that it’d be ditching OPEC - the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries. The country says it wants to focus more on natural gas, something it’s leading at globally. This comes as Qatar’s dispute with Saudi Arabia - the only country it shares a land border with and a big part of OPEC - is escalating. Tension, high. Speaking of which, Denmark just revealed a new plan to move a group of unwanted migrants to an island - without being able to leave.
