Isn't fall about contemplation?
We’ve been hiking a lot and since returning from Sicily, I’ve been binge watching The Great British Baking Show as I bake along with real contestants. I'm speedy, so convince myself that I'd manage well. Man! we ended up with way too much sugar in the house, so I had to pause with the sweets and switched to bread and a savory pie. I'd love to talk current favorite recipes if you cook too.
Shorter darker days
Thank goodness for the studio! I’ve been there working on a new series using colors inspired by Sicily and experimenting with a funny, new method of getting plaster in the molds. I’ve posted a few images on Instagram.
Invite art into your life
And with January approaching, it's on to new projects for the new year. To fund those and in time for gift giving, I’ve put together a sale web page. Everything is under $100. I've priced things to sell because I’d like the work to hang in somebody’s house being looked at and loved daily.
Featured are small collages done as I prepared for and worked on large monoprint collages for The Columbus Public Library and Metro Health. I love work like this because it's lively and fresh.
Check out what’s available here.
For a week, only you loyal newsletter subscribers will know about the site and sale.
Next week, I’ll post on social.

Last month, the art community in Cleveland suffered with the terrible death of a talented writer, Nikki Delamotte. She was one of the smart, young people now in the city. We didn’t hang out. I did work with her a couple of times though and she made a big impression. I thought of her often and sought out her writing. My heart breaks for those who really knew her well.
