Wow. What a weekend! The 8th Annual Youth Arts Summit: Art Sparks Action was quite the success! It all kicked off with the Youth Arts Summit Film Festival, which included films from YAX students, BAYCAT, SF Art & Film, and RYSE Youth Center. The result was not one, but three winners, Cal Thacher, Emily Lee, and Phil Elleston II, pictured below with our wonderful judges and faculty filmmaker Matthew Brown. Prizes for the winners were memberships to the San Francisco Film Festival

After that we were joined by our always spectacular partners for performances, live music, a fashion show, button making, and an all around celebration of youth art. Thank you for helping us make the event such a success! 826 Valencia, Academy SF Latin Dance & Visual Art, BAYCAT,  Blick Art Materials,  Circus Center, City College of SF Art Department,  Performing Arts Workshop, Root Division, RYSE Youth Center, Ruth Asawa School of the Arts, San Francisco Arts Commission, San Francisco Public Library, SF Art & Film, Southern Exposure, Today's Future Sound, Where Art Lives, and Young People's Teen Musical Theatre Company.
