This month we will provide art supplies for our STEAM TEAM participants to create a pieces of artwork for NASA Langley Student Art Contest. 
The contest is open to students in K-12 and entries are accepted 12/1/2018 - 12/31/2018. One entry per student. A grand-prize winner will be selected from all entries and a first place, second place, third place, and honorable mention winner will be selected for each grade level. Maximum size for submissions is 12" x18."
This year's theme is Explore! and
tasks young artist to illustrate their vision of the future in aeronautics, exploration and Earth science. 
If you are unable to come to STEAM TEAM, you can create art work on your own and submit them digitally by visiting the website below. 
The Library offers digital scanning services.  Scanning items costs $0.25/page.

If you know anyone that is homebound and depends on others to get them places, please let them know about our program.  Puzzle Lovers can also request a puzzle to be included in their home delivery.  When puzzle lovers are done with the puzzle, they can return it in their next home delivery.

Friends of the Library
  The Friends of the Ross and Elizabeth Baty Monticello Public Library is conducting its 2019 membership drive.
  Your membership will help to support their mission to advocate, educate, and raise funds on behalf of the Library, its patrons, and the community.

   Each year the Friends of Library provides financial support for:
  • Summer Reading Program
  • Bringing speakers and educational events to our library,
  • Special library events,
  • Refreshments for children, teens, and adult library programs.
