Perhaps Rider Magazine editor Mark Tuttle put it best when he said, "Many of us who ride dream of exploring mountainous and mysterious 2,000-year old Japan." We had the honor of riding with Mark on our 2016 Japan Three Island Adventure, and it is still a thrill to see that even someone who rides motorcycles for a living had a meaningful and unforgettable experience on one of our trips.
There's something special about Japan. One comment we get over and over from riders who have ridden in Europe is that Japan's riding is great, but it's the food, the hot springs, the history, the culture, and the people that set it apart. Simply put, Japan is a must for anyone who likes to travel the world on two wheels! And so as the year winds down, we look ahead to our trio of tours coming in 2019.
Due to popular demand, we will be running back-to-back Three Island Adventures in the Spring. The first trip is sold out, but the second trip still has one opening for a rider willing to share a double occupancy room. In June we return to the northern island of Hokkaido, home of 20% of Japan's land area with just 5% of the total population. Then in October we make our final trip across the Pacific, this time to witness the undeniable excitement of MotoGP racing at Motegi Twin Ring Raceway.
We invite you to browse some of the articles below to learn more about each of these adventures, and we look forward to hearing from you!
