Winter Night Shelter goes from strength to strength
|
|
Astounding numbers of volunteers have come forward this year to support guests in Coventry Winter Night Shelter (CWNS) this year - over 350 people are volunteering their valuable time! Over 40 people have been helped so far this winter, with 5 moving into settled accommodation already. CWNS is also very grateful all of the financial and hundreds of physical donations received for the homeless guests this year from individuals, churches, social groups and companies. The Amazon wishlist has been incredibly useful, ensuring that the donations received are exactly what is needed, and financial donations have gone some way in covering core costs. For more details on CWNS, email cwnsbernardo@hopecoventry.org.uk.

Coventry Street Pastors - could you be a pair of hands on the street?
Coventry Street Pastors are starting a new training course; the aim is to recruit another 30 pastors, to increase the number of patrols out to 3 each Friday and Saturday night. They patrol the city centre Friday and Saturday night from 10pm-3am, looking after those who are working and those out enjoying themselves, ensuring they get home safely and that the city is a welcoming place for all. If you are interested and would like to come out on patrol as an observer, contact Isabel McIntyre on 07770160909 or

Visit from the House of Lords

It was a time of networking and prayer for one another's projects, and we hope that it will spark the beginning of a potential coming together of innovative ideas to transform our city.
