Support Community-Based Education and Organizing on #GivingTuesday
Dear HBB Members and Supporters,

Humanities Behind Bars is a grassroots collective of teachers, students, activists, and artists committed to imagining a just world. Our work is rooted in community-based education and organizing that centers formerly and currently incarcerated people and their loved ones. We are dedicated to building inside/outside alliances and reentry networks of care.

Given that this is the season of sharing and caring, we wanted to reach out to our supporters and community in honor of #GivingTuesday. Giving Tuesday is a day for people around the world to come together for one purpose: to give to organizations that matter to them. Whether or not you’ve already given this year, we ask you to take a moment on this Giving Tuesday to support our organization.

We are so grateful to all of our supporters who volunteer as teachers and tutors at Norfolk City Jail, attend events, and push our message out into the community. Please consider donating, as every little bit helps!

Solidarity, not charity!
