For sometime now we have been asking for prayer concerning our visa situation. We have been planning all along to return for our second term at the end of January. Our team in Tanzania have been looking into several different options that would help our presence in the country be better understood in the eyes of the local authorities and hopefully facilitate a better understanding of what we are doing.
We praise the Lord that our director’s visa was recently renewed which has enabled him to stay in the country and sort through some of the recent changes. This is a miracle and a direct answer to prayer so we thank all of you who have been praying.
At this point we are looking into a few different options that would help us to return so we can continue on with our work. At this point we are excited to see how God is leading and how he is causing us to rely more and more on him. Truly this is his work, and he will accomplish it as he sees fit.
We especially covet your prayers this week as the time to make a decision about our return date is drawing near. Pray that God would show us when he wants us to return and in what way. We are walking by faith.
Our time in the States thus far has been restful. Sometimes while on the field its easy to absorb the stresses of everyday life but not to have time to process through the many different experiences. Since we have been in the States one of our goals has been to process some of the more difficult things from our first term in a healthy way. Pray for our family that we would be healthy and ready when God does have us return.
In the next couple of weeks, we will be deciding whether we can go ahead and return in January or whether we should postpone our departure date a few extra months. Of course all of this is dependent on our visas, our readiness as a family to go back, and your prayers. We will be sure to keep you all updated as soon as we find out more news.
