The last couple of months have been busy with the lead up to our annual Pink Loop Walk which was a HUGE success.  A big thank you to everyone who participated, donated prizes, provided sponsorship and dressed in pink!!!  The town basin was awash with fabulous pink costumes and you all looked amazing!

This will be our last newsletter for the year and on behalf of the Trustees I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year.

Regards Karen

Pink Loop Walk

Saturday the 21st of October was a beautiful day and we had 485 people registered to participate in the Loop Walk.  This day could not have happened without a dedicated team of helpers and sponsors.  Many thanks to Melanie Waldron and her team who organised this years walk and our major sponsors - Eves Real Estate, Moore Cars, Pak n Save Whangarei and JOP.

This year we teamed up with TRG Imaging to raise awareness and encourage screening for early detection and to support women with a breast cancer diagnosis, it was great to see them there on the day and they donated 3 Mammograms for our Auction as well as vouchers for spot prizes..

We raised $13,000 from the combined proceeds of the Auction and Pink Walk and this money will stay in  Northland to support women in the Northland region who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.  Through our Helping Hands program this year we have already provided financial support to over 25 women.

Many thanks to all the talented entertainers who provided entertainment around the loop and cheered on the participants. I See Red entertained everyone on the canopy bridge, Tim Bell from Belltech provided the stage and sound system and a huge shout out to Estelle from The Hits who was our MC for the day.  Many thanks to all our food vendors on the day, your food and refreshments were appreciated by everyone.

There are too many people and business to thank individually  as we had over 50 local businesses donate spot prizes and auction items - without their support the day would not have been the success it was - THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!

RED Dinning held a PINK LADIES Cocktails & Canapes evening on the 13th October with all funds raised going to BCSNT.  Many thanks for a great girls night out and many thanks for your donation.
