We Have a New Granddaughter!
We are so pleased to announce that Lucy Downs was born on September 21st in Overland Park, KS. It was our great blessing to be at the hospital with them when she arrived. She is grandchild number 4 for us and is a joy. Such a sweet baby! Please join us in praying for Tim & Sarah as they begin their preparation to head toward Africa. It seems normal to all of us that Lucy will grow up in Africa.
New Christian School for Brugge
All things new are exciting, but experience tells us that the more difficult part is down the road. The new school got off to a good start on September 1, and we are sure that God will honor this step of faith. Our children are often publicly ridiculed by their teachers and school officials even though "tolerance" is the watchword in Belgium. It is a very dark place. Please pray with us that God will pull down the stronghold of humanism here and that God will provide the funding necessary for this first year. After the first year, the funding is covered.
