Exhibition Round Up:

Michela Griffith has an updated selection of framed works, mounted prints and art cards at the Longitude Gallery in Clitheroe.  During December the gallery will be open on Saturdays as well as Monday to Friday with the affordable art exhibition ‘Make Your Mark’.

Works on display by Michaela include Queen of the Woods of which she says: “The world outside my window temporarily transformed, I went to enjoy the magic in the wood. A favourite tree - a rare and majestic beech among coniferous interlopers - tempers her size, strength and scars amid the delicacy of falling snow”

Maggie Robinson has been invited to exhibit her work in the Pineapple Gallery Bishop Auckland, Co. Durham. Owner, Tom Gibbons, selected some of her ‘Music of the landscape’ paintings to be part of his collection of exciting contemporary art work for sale in his recently opened new gallery which is creating much interest in the local area.

Ingrid Katarina Karlsson had two pieces selected for the Home & Hope exhibition at Workers' Gallery, Ynyshir, Wales CF39 0EN; "The Flight" and "Roots" with the latter used in the Gallery's poster for Home & Hope. The exhibition runs from 8th November - 22nd December, opening times 11.00-16.30 Thursday/Friday/Saturday

Ray Sylvester has been approached by one of the volunteers involved in developing The Buxton Crescent and asked if he would be interested in making boxes from some of the wood recovered from the roof during the restoration.  These might then be sold in the shop which will be a feature of the new building. Ray has not had a chance see or assess the suitability of the timber yet but is excited at the prospect of using wood which may be well over 300 years old.
