ABOUT EXHIBITION

The New York International Contemporary Art Society presents an iconic abstract collection in its latest exhibition, Complex Psychology.

The works of this exhibition will feature familiar artists of the Saphira & Ventura collection as well as a collaboration between its Paris affiliate, Galerie Artitude. In the context of abstract works, Complex Psychology will feature the works of Brazilian mixed media artist, Angerami, whose numerous artist residencies and cultural immersions made his personal metamorphosing with the universe a strong statement in his works. In this exhibition, the gallery will be exhibiting Jeffrey Odiorne, a New Jersey based artist, originally specializing in graphic design. Odiorne’s approach recalls the timeless approach of juxtaposing elements of abstraction and figures. Saphira & Ventura Gallery will also exhibit its iconic Armenian sculptor, Mkrtich Mazmanian, based in Beirut. Mazmanian has previously shown in Context New York and has a strong background in international exhibitions. Together with Mazmanian’s works will be artist and designer Hermes Santos, who has also been in the market for many years and have made a great name for himself in the technological industry due to his production of interacting computers, and 3D printers within his artworks. Re-introducing an artist from Brazil, the gallery will be showcasing the refined works of Lilian Souto. Souto’s technique differs from piece to piece and where on one artwork she focuses on balance and unity, others show the chaos of disruption and clash of emotions.

The NYICAS will also be exhibiting an international collection from its partner overseas in Paris, including the works by Agnes Debalme, Karoline Bonde, Gael Judic, Alyne, Larivier, Larrieu, Mekkioui, Jean Marc Pouletaut, Olga von Hecker, and Nathalie Lame

With this exhibition, the NYICAS seeks to its display this pioneering collection to the New York market focusing on a fresh aesthetic.
