Relaxing During Meditation

During meditation, when we find our mind is agitated or shut down due to habitual tendencies, instead of being discouraged or angry at the mind, try to be relaxed and work with it gently. Be loving and compassionate toward that agitation. This is a skillful way of taming the wild horse of mind. You need to be gentle so as not to create resistance and more difficulties.
