Get excited! Nearly 50 global LGBTIQ activists are in New York this week - will you join them at OutRight events over the next week?
From Violence to Vows in Asia
OutRight will now kick-off it's Advocacy Week at the UN - and the OutSummit - on Tuesday discussing LGBT advances across Asia. OutRight will have a large contingent of activists from the region advocating at the UN December 3-7, and this is an opportunity to hear what's happening in the region - and how OutRight and its partners are working to advance equality. We will enjoy cocktails across the street from the UN. RSVP to register - you can also consider joining the Host Committee if you can invite others.
Are you excited to participate in an all day conference about advancing global LGBTIQ issues? Join OutRight on Saturday, Dec 8 at CUNY Law School - for the OutSummit as over 50 activists from around the world join diplomats, journalists, supporters and all interested in the global movement to strategize and discuss what's next. Lawyers who brought the case against India's law opposing same-sex sexuality - and won! - will speak along with TV personality Karamo Brown from the Netflix revamp Queer Eye. Register at OutSummit.org
While upcoming next week is OutRight's annual OutSummit (nearly decade now alongside International Human Rights Day) and this year Victory Fund's conference in DC - looking ahead is Task Force's annual Creating Change summit January 24-27 this year in frigid Detroit - that's a must-do for me! And the IGLA World Conference this year in Wellington March 18-22. But besides the opportunities to and learn about the advance of equality, there's also the unique annual parties like Mid-Atlantic Leather weekend in DC MLK weekend and Winter Party in Miami!
