Donate a Toy at Our Holiday Mixer for the Sacramento Sheriff's Toy Project
It is not too late to celebrate the holiday season with the Metro Chamber at our Annual Holiday Mixer on Tuesday, December 4. This year we will be celebrating at Raley Field's Legacy Club. Network with our Board and fellow businesses as we toast to a successful 2018!

Please bring a new, unwrapped toy for donation and receive a raffle ticket for some great prizes. We have selected the Sacramento Sheriff's Toy Project to help less fortunate children and families in the Sacramento area.

Skip the lines and secure your ticket online. Tickets will also be sold at the door. For event information please contact Mindy Johnston, 916.319.4269.

Mac Clemmens to Lead as 2019 Cap-to-Cap Chair

Small business founder and advocate Mac Clemmens will serve as the chair for the 2019 Capitol-to-Capitol program. Clemmens replaces Dr. Stacy McAfee, who had been previously appointed as the 2019 Capitol-to-Capitol Chair, following her announcement as the new chief executive officer of University College of the Cayman Islands.

Clemmens is a Sacramento native who started his company, Digital Deployment, in 2004. Digital Deployment has since grown into a thriving midtown Sacramento business that was named “Small Business of the Year” by the Metro Chamber and Best Place to Work and Healthiest Employer by the Sacramento Business Journal. In 2015, Clemmens leveraged the Metro Chamber’s Small Business Development Center to obtain a $1M SBA expansion loan, through Five Star Bank.

2019 Capitol-to-Capitol will take place May 4-8, 2019.  Learn more >>

Small Business Stories: Ogilvie Merwin Vintners
To celebrate and and bring awareness to our region's small businesses, the Metro Chamber launched a new series called "Small Business Stories."

Kicking it off is Ogilvie Merwin Vintners - the entrepreneurs behind Silt Wine Company and Muddy Boot Wine. Their journey into the wine business all started as a side project to help sell the family’s fruit. The founders continue to work on the family farm, but have also opened a tasting room for Silt Wine Co in their mission "to help people enjoy Clarksburg as much as they do."

Here from co-founder David Ogilvie on Studio40 Live today at 11 a.m. or read more about their journey in opening OMV

Prepare Your Business for When Disaster Hits

Building resiliency within your organization is important for the health and sustainability of our region's businesses, workforce and community. We may not be able to stop all natural disasters, but there are steps that can be taken to protect and ensure our communities remain open for business.

The Metro Chamber is partnering with Outsmart Disaster to create awareness and tools for the Capital Region's businesses. It all starts by taking the Resilient Business Challenge - an online step-by-step process that evaluates if your business is ready for a disaster. Now is the time to act and prepare.
