Welcome to our December Newsletter.

The days may be shorter, but things are still busy on the nursery.  We've recently been splitting some new varieties of Wood Anemone that we hope to have available for sale in the coming year.  It's always satisfying to see a new plant reach this point.

We are continuing to send out plants by mail order this month - so please see below for more information about our last order dates before Christmas.

If you are sending plants as a gift, remember we can send plants directly to a recipient of your choice.  You can also buy a gift card to include a message with the plants.

To enable your recipient to select their own plants, we now have e-Gift vouchers available in a range of values.  Please see the link below.

Finally, we've made a selection of plants still looking good on the nursery, despite the wind and rain!




 

Last Order dates

To receive plants before Christmas, orders for UK delivery must be placed by: Midnight, Sunday 16th December 2018.

Orders for overseas delivery must be placed by:
Midnight, Sunday 9th December.

We will resume sending plants out during the week commencing 7th January 2019.

Please note that all these dates are weather dependent!

Plants looking good now:
Polypodium cambricum

Winter-green native fern for a shady spot.  Beautiful foliage looking at it's best in the autumn-winter.  Tolerant of dry shade once established and not fussy about soil type (despite what you may read!).

Geranium 'Khan'
Geranium 'Khan'

Normally thought of for the big magenta flowers from spring until autumn Geranium 'Khan' also produces a super display of autumnal foliage colour most years that lasts well into early winter.

Sedum spurium 'Fuldaglut'
Sedum spurium 'Fuldaglut'

A low growing carpet with richly burnished ruby leaves at their best in winter.  Neat heads of strong reddish pink flowers in summer to 15cm.  For sun and well drained soils.

Eryngium agavifolium
Eryngium agavifolium

An Eryngium from Argentina, grown for it's architectural rosettes of saw-toothed evergreen foliage.  Strong sturdy green flower spikes in summer, and good seed heads through the winter.
