The Center for Languages and Intercultural Communication (CLIC) invites you to a presentation-workshop that will showcase the various impacts that gender norms can have on professional interactions through a detailed analysis of language use in diverse workplaces. Based on the analysis of language use, the emergent, situated differences in conversational styles of men and women will be illustrated along with some practical implications. More information. This program provides STEM students with an opportunity to gain and develop research skills with the U.S. Department of Energy for 10 weeks over the summer.
