CCMBM Musculoskeletal Events & Opportunities
The Core Center for Musculoskeletal Biology & Medicine (CCMBM) defines itself
by emphasizing musculoskeletal-specific education and services that are critical to its members but not available elsewhere in the university system.

“Without CCMBM, we would not have been able to start new collaborations with the UCSF Department of Anesthesia and also Stanford University.  The Center allowed us to look at a new area of research to look at prehab exercises on the development of postop delirium.

We have also used CCMBM Core Services to allow us to perform new investigation on biomarkers following ACL injuries. This is a new area of research for our group and we have worked with Virginia Kraus at Duke University on some of our work. This study has allowed us to get further funding from the Arthritis Foundation to look at our multi center cohort on the effect of biomarkers on the development of post-traumatic arthritis following ACL injuries.”

– C. Benjamin Ma, MD, Professor, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
