Auden, the Psalms, and Me
Presenter: J. Chester Johnson

Our Advent I speaker will be J. Chester Johnson. He, along with the eminent W. H. Auden, served as one of the two poets on the drafting committee for the re-translation of the psalms contained in the current Book of Common Prayer of the Episcopal Church. Mr. Johnson’s book, Auden, the Psalms, and Me, which tells the story of this re-translation, an extensive project completed over a twelve-year period ending in 1979, was published by Church Publishing in 2017 and soon became one of its bestsellers. 

Angel Tree Christmas Drive

This year, our Christmas Drive efforts go to support families that have successfully transitioned out of Family Promise over the last year and ones that are currently in the program. Please help by buying a gift for a child or adult who would not otherwise receive a Christmas present this year.

See the Angel Tree display in the back of the church. Take a card, buy gifts (suggested spending limit: $100) and return the wrapped present and the card by noon on December 23 at the latest. Thank you.
