Interested in becoming a peer facilitator?

Be part of the first annual LGBTQ retreat as a peer-facilitator! Share your knowledge/competencies and give back to the LGBTQ communities. All Peer Facilitators must have at least one semester of enrollment at U-M and participate in a brief mandatory training.

Hiring MBLGTACC 2021 Co-Chair

The Midwest Bisexual, Lesbian, Gay, Transgender, and Asexual College Conference (MBLGTACC) is the largest annual LGBTQ college student conference in the Midwest. The University of Michigan hosted MBLGTACC on campus in 2011 and is looking to host the conference again in 2021. Pending acceptance of the bid, Spectrum Center is looking to hire two co-chairs to guide the planning process for this conference. Please join Spectrum’s Programming Board for our annual Home For Break, an event focused on creating a safe and welcoming space for folks before leaving campus for winter break.

There will be free food, discussion, games, resources, and good company. Students will also have the opportunity to connect with GPS (Guidance - Perspective - Support) mentors if they would like to have someone to talk to over break.

What is Happening at Michigan?
Advancing Health Equity for LGBTQ Populations with Dr. Sari Reisner

This seminar will describe health disparities facing sexual and gender minority (LGBTQ) populations, discuss epidemiologic challenges for LGBTQ health research, and highlight opportunities for the translation of epidemiologic findings into public health programs and practice. Specific examples will be highlighted pertaining to psychiatric epidemiology and transgender population health.
