NOVEMBER 2018 EDITION

"The past cannot be cured."
ELIZABETH I, QUEEN OF ENGLAND, epigraph, SHADOW OF NIGHT

In case you missed the amazing news: A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES will be returning for a second AND third series on Sky OneSundance NowNOW TV, and Shudder

The enormous success of the show in the UK and Europe has made it possible for future seasons to be greenlit and go into production. The writers are already hard at work to produce scripts so that we can cast and shoot season 2 next year. Elizabethan London, here we come!

Thank you to all our loyal viewers on the UK and territories covered by HBO Europe. Now we pass the baton to viewers in Spain, Portugal, New Zealand, Australia and the US who will be seeing the show in the next few months.

I'll talk more about this in upcoming Facebook Lives, so keep in touch there. ♥️

In honor of ⁦@ADiscoveryOfWTV⁩ coming to both New Zealand (on ⁦@SKYNZ⁩ and ⁦@NeonNZ⁩) and Australia (on ⁦@Foxtel⁩) I wanted to share this #behindthescenes shot of the super-gifted Australian actress ⁦@teresapalmer⁩ and me.

Hello, North America.

Reminder: US and Canadian streaming of all 8 episodes of A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES TV begins on 17 January 2019 on Sundance Now and Shudder.

In early January, we will send out a special edition of THE BLAST with detailed instructions explaining how those of us in North America can watch the show on Sundance Now or Shudder.
March 21, 2017.  Beginning to think this whole book is going to get written the old fashioned way: longhand, ink on paper, in cafes. Take computer and notebook. Notebook wins. Every. Time. #OldSchool #amwriting

Love this thoughtful piece. In the end, I may quibble with the notion this is a "resurgence" since witches haven't gone anywhere in popular culture since the 1450s, but that's a professor for you! https://www.teenvogue.com/story/witches-pop-culture… via @TeenVogue

Translations of TIME'S CONVERT: an update

I have some good news about translations of Time's Convert! In addition to the US, Canadian, and UK editions of the book, there will be foreign language translations of the latest book into:

German
Dutch
Portuguese
Slovak
Turkish
French
Japanese
Italian

There will also be a large print edition in the US.

I don't have any specific release dates as of yet, but I will keep you posted as I learn them, and also update you on covers and other news as I receive it.

PS. I'm also attaching the fabulous Russian television tie-in paperback cover for A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES. The US will be getting one, too, in early January. Stay tuned!

Today: find your patch of blue skies, no matter how cloudy it seems.
In a world that requires feeling, thinking people to stand up and say "NO" to inhumanity & failures of empathy and justice on an hourly basis, it can be hard to remain hopeful. Today, take time to feel hope. Say "yes" to something--a smile, a kiss, a flower. #Believe #LoveWins
