Party like it's 2019

Sandpoint gets pumped for NYE

Surprising fact: Sandpoint is a super-hot destination for New Year's Eve. And that's because we've got some great venues that make for memorable celebrations. The Hive in downtown Sandpoint is a state-of-the-art concert house that hosts the annual New Year's Eve Bash - this year's event features Afrolicious. And then there's the all-ages lineup of parties at Schweitzer (ticket sales started Dec. 1, so hurry if you want to go). Finally, the 219 Lounge in downtown Sandpoint cranks it up with the Miah Kohal Band. Check 'em all out on the Visit Sandpoint Entertainment Calendar ... and happy 2019!

Vote for your favorite decorated window display

Downtown Sandpoint retailers all dressed up for holidays ... and your vote

The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Sandpoint Shopping District to hold the first-ever Hometown Windows to Christmas decorating competition! The contest runs through Dec. 21, and there will be a panel of 15 anonymous judges, as well as a People's Choice vote. Winners will be announced Dec. 24. Participants include Creations for Sandpoint, Northwest Handmade, Kyoko Sushi, Sharon's Hallmark, Mary Ruth's Gift Market, I Saw Something Shiny, Carousel Emporium, Art Works Gallery, The Little Christmas Tree, La Chic Boutique, Azalea Handpicked Style, Larson's, Outdoor Experience, Petal Talk, and Northland Communications.
- How to vote: Visit the 15 window/Christmas tree displays and vote for your favorite. Voting ballots can be found just inside the Cedar Street Bridge (right beside the elevator) and at the participating businesses. Also at the bridge is a wrapped gift box to drop your ballot any time before Dec. 21 at 5 p.m.

Sandpoint Magazine moseys in

Winter issue available 'round town, online

You could say ... Sandpoint is where the wild things are! Read the new Sandpoint Magazine Winter 2019 issue about our ubiquitous moose... and our more secretive wily weasels. Plus, meet the downtown businesses that have survived - and thrived - through the downtown's many years; an artist in stained glass; and our town's NFL Hall of Famer (finally!). All that and much more. Free copies are available at many retailers 'round town, or click to read the virtual flip-book issue.
